Flying Viking II SOLD
Virtu Ferries Limited, Malta, has purchased the 40m Flying Cat
vessel m/v Flying Viking II.
22.03.07 -- The company has already a Fjellstrand vessel in their fleet of
fast ferries.
According to Mr. Francis Portelli, it is not determined yet where the vessel
will operate.
Due to heavy work load at Fjellstrand, most of the up-grading onboard will take
place
outside Norway.
The vessel will have the Fjellstrand Motion Dampening System and Fjellstrand
Interceptor installed. The Interceptor system has been installed onboard several
vessels already.
The owners are reporting fuel savings of incredible 50 litres per operating
hour.
